FROM FRAME TO FINISH
...and everything in between
Below is a collection of progress photos of the Yoga Studio that we custom built in Jamestown, Rhode Island. The photos help to illustrate major changes throughout construction. It's like watching it come together from the ground up.
This project was pretty rewarding for such a small structure because it had a little bit of everything - open structural design, custom masonry and copper work, along with swooping shingles and details like a timber framed cedar arbor and oversized milled brackets.

FRAME + SHEATHING
FRAME + SHEATHING:
Here, the Yoga Studio is just beginning to take shape. After pouring the foundation walls and slab on grade, we framed and sheathed the sidewalls.
Next up, the roof frame.
WINDOWS, DOORS + ROOF
ROOFING, WINDOWS + DOORS:
After framing the roof, hoisting flitch plates into place to allow for the open cupola inside, and lining up the masons for the new fireplace, we papered the exterior shell and installed the windows and doors.
MASONRY +
SHINGLES
MASONRY, SHINGLES + TRIM:
This is where the building really starts to come to life. We added the window and door trim, exterior details, and sidewall shingles. The fireplace was designed to help give a timeless look to a new building as well as anchor it to the land.
PROJECT
COMPLETE
PROJECT COMPLETE:
All of the final details are complete - the exterior sconces, cedar arbor and wood roof. A few of our favorite details include the copper standing-seam cupola roof, swooped shingles, and that perfect mantel stone we found for the fireplace.
